Pedro Neto opened the scoring in the 37th minute, assisted by Jamie Gittens. Enzo Fernandez then doubled the visitors’ lead in the 88th minute, assisted by Marc Guiu.
Chelsea outplayed Burnley in both defence and attack, taking a total of five shots on target, while the hosts only managed two attempts on target. Two goals and an easy three points for the Club World Cup champions!
Chelsea 2-2 Burnley
Chelsea and 10-man Burnley shared the spoils after playing to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on 30 March 2024.
Burnley’s Lorenz Assignon got sent off in the 40th minute after receiving his second yellow card for elbowing his opponent. Three minutes later, Vincent Kompany also received a red card.
Kompany, who is now a Bayern Munich manager, was Burnley’s head coach at the time of the sending off.
Cole Palmer opened the scoring from the spot in the 44th minute, giving Chelsea a 1-0 lead going into the halftime break. A few minutes into the second half, Josh Cullen equalised for Burnley in the 47th minute.
Palmer found the back of the net again in the 78th minute, changing the score to 2-1. However, Dara O’Shea levelled the score in the 81st minute, changing the score to 2-2.
Burnley 1-4 Chelsea
Chelsea thrashed Burnley 4-1 at Turf Moor on 7 October 2025. Bunley’s Wilson Odobert opened the scoring in the 15th minute, sending the home fans into a frenzy.
Things fell apart for Burnley when Ameen Al Dakhil scored an own goal, gifting Chelsea an equaliser in the 42nd minute. Cole Palmer gave Chelsea the lead in the 50th minute when he converted from the spot.
Raheem Sterling extended the Blues’ lead in the 65th minute, and Nicolas Jackson made it 4-1 in the 74th minute. The decisive victory secured maximum points for the visitors.
Burnley 0-4 Chelsea
In another league fixture at Turf Moor on 5 March 2022, Burnley failed to score in their own backyard when Chelsea hammered them 4-0.
Burnley defended well in the first half, closing down spaces and preventing Chelsea from dictating the pace of the game.
However, it was a different story in the second half when the Blues finally managed to unlock Burnley’s stubborn defence.
Reece James opened the scoring in the 47th minute, and then Kai Havertz scored a brace. Havertz netted in the 52nd minute and scored Chelsea’s third goal in the 55th minute.
Christian Pulisic scored the last goal of the match in the 69th minute, giving Chelsea a 4-0 lead and ensuring that they walked away with all three points.
Chelsea 1-1 Burnley
Chelsea and Burnley shared the spoils at Stamford Bridge on 6 November 2021. Kai Havertz opened the scoring for the home side in the 33rd minute.
Despite enjoying a lion’s share of ball possession, Chelsea failed to convert their chances into goals.
Burnley’s Matej Vydra scored an equaliser in the 79th minute from one of the few opportunities they created in the match. The match ended 1-1.
