Chelsea 3-0 Wolves: Enzo Maresca’s side climbs to second in Premier League after decisive victory

Chelsea defeated Wolves 3-0, moving to second in the Premier League. Wolves remain last, winless after 11 matches, conceding 25 goals while scoring only seven.

Chelsea brushed aside Wolves at Stamford Bridge to climb to the second spot in the Premier League standings.

Enzo Maresca’s charges defeated Wolves 3-0 in Round 11 on Saturday, 8 November 2025, securing maximum points in impressive style.

Malo Gusto opened the scoring with a fine header in the 51st minute after connecting with Alejandro Garnacho’s cross.

João Pedro found himself unmarked inside the box and doubled Chelsea’s lead in the 65th minute. Garnacho grabbed his second assist of the match when Pedro Neto found the back of the net in the 73rd minute.

Chelsea showed more hunger in the match, scoring three goals from eight shots on target. Maresca’s men were not just clinical in front of goal, but they also defended as a unit. They did not allow Wolves to have even a shot on target.

Following their dominant victory, the FIFA Club World Cup champions jumped from position eight to second spot.

They leapfrogged Manchester City, Sunderland, Tottenham, Liverpool, Bournemouth, and Manchester United. The Blues are now six points behind league leaders Arsenal.

Wolves occupy the last spot on the 20-team league table with no wins after 11 games. They’ve drawn two and lost a whopping nine matches.

The Wanderers, who have two points, have conceded a total of 25 goals, only scoring seven.

Chelsea Latest Results in the Premier League

In their last Premier League fixture on 1 November 2025, Chelsea edged Tottenham 1-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Brazilian forward João Pedro scored the only goal of the clash in the 34th minute, ensuring that Chelsea secured all three points away from home.

Tottenham’s goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario had a busy match, pulling off eight saves from Chelsea’s nine shots on target.

Wolves Latest Results in the Premier League

In their previous league fixture on 1 November 2025, Wolves were heavily defeated by Fulham at Craven Cottage. It took only nine minutes for Ryan Sessegnon to open the scoring in the match.

Things went from bad to worse for Wolves when Emmanuel Agbadou received a red card in the 36th minute.

Harry Wilson extended Fulham’s lead in the 62nd minute, and then Yerson Mosquera scored an own goal in the 75th minute, giving Fulham a 3-0 lead.

Chelsea vs Wolves: Head-to-Head in 2025

The Blues and Wolves had already faced each other twice in 2025. Chelsea won both fixtures.

In the fourth round of the EFL Cup on 29 October 2025, Chelsea edged Wolves 4-3 in a hard-fought victory. Maresca’s charges went into the break leading 3-0 after goals from Andrey Santos, Tyrique George, and Estêvão.

It was a different story in the second half as Wolves also netted three goals. Toluwase Arokodare scored Wolves’ first goal, and David Moller Wolfe scored the other two goals.

Jamie Gittens scored Chelsea’s fourth goal three minutes after his teammate, Liam Delap, received a red card for elbowing an opponent.

In Round 22 of last season’s Premier League on 20 January 2025, Chelsea thumped Wolves 3-1 at Stamford Bridge. The score was 1-1 going into the halftime break, with goals coming from Tosin Adarabioyo and Matt Doherty.
