Despite the injuries, the Bavarians drew 2-2 with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga thriller at the Allianz Arena on Saturday night.

Danks was forced to replace Ismael Saibari in the 29th minute after he suffered a serious injury. He also had to substitute Serge Gnabry in the 31st minute because of injury.

The reigning Germany champions also lost Michael Olise to a serious injury in the 84th minute. At a press conference, Danks said the injuries disrupted their tactics, especially in the first half.

“The timing of the injuries wasn’t great as well, to have two in the first half so close together. It just took a little bit of momentum away from us.”

Danks Provides Update on the Injuries

Danks told journalists that it was still early to give a full update on Saibari, Gnabry, and Olise’s injuries.

“It’s still very early to diagnose the severity. Saibari’s ankle looks quite a serious injury.”

He added that he was still waiting for feedback from Bayern’s medical team on Gnabry and Olise’s injuries.

“But the most important thing is those boys recover as quickly as possible, and we get the rest of the players fit and healthy for the next game on Tuesday.”

The German heavyweights travel to Spain to face Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, 3 November.

Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany missed the match as he was still recovering after receiving treatment for meningeal irritation.
