Liverpool thrashed Leeds 6-1 in a Premier League thriller at Elland Road on 17 April 2023. Mohamed Salah and Dogo Jota each scored twice in the showdown.

Cody Gakpo opened the scoring for the visitors in the 35th minute with the assistance of Trent Alexander-Arnold. Salah then doubled Liverpool’s lead in the 39th minute, assisted by the late Diogo Jota.

Luis Sinisterra scored the home side’s consolation goal in the 47th minute, changing the score to 2-1. Jota, may his soul rest in peace, scored Liverpool’s third goal in the 52nd minute, assisted by Curtis Jones.

Salah changed the score to 4-1 in the 64th minute, assisted by Gakpo. Three minutes earlier, the Egyptian had a goal disallowed for offside after a VAR review.

Jota, assisted by Jordan Henderson, scored his second of the match in the 73rd minute, making it 5-1. Darwin Nunez then scored Liverpool’s sixth goal in the 90th minute, assisted by Alexander-Arnold, who has transferred to Real Madrid.

Leeds stunned Liverpool 2-1 in a Premier League clash at Anfield on 29 October 2022. The visitors’ Rodrigo opened the scoring in the 4th minute, making Leeds’ intentions very clear.

Ten minutes later, Mohamed Salah equalised for Liverpool. Andrew Robertson assisted the Egyptian star. However, Leeds snatched maximum points at the death.

Crysencio Summerville scored the winner in the 89th minute with the assistance of Patrick Bamford. That was a humbling defeat for Liverpool in their own backyard.

Leeds 0-3 Liverpool

Liverpool thrashed 10-man Leeds 3-0 in another Premier League showdown at Elland Road on 12 September 2021. The referee showed Pascal Struijk a straight red card for a bad foul on his opponent in the 60th minute.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring in the 20th minute, assisted by Trent Alexander-Arnold. Fabinho then doubled the visitors’ lead in the 50th minute.

Sadio Mane scored the last goal of the match in the 90+2 minute, assisted by Thiago.
