Rushwin Dortley is expected to return to the Kaizer Chiefs lineup against Siwelele in the quarter-finals of the Carling Knockout Cup at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.

Kaizer Chiefs Possible Lineup vs Siwelele
Dortley missed the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium on 31 October 2026. His coach, Fernando Da Cruz, didn’t want to take a chance on Dortley as he had recently returned to Chiefs’ lineup after an injury.
Chiefs will be looking to bolster their defence after the 2-1 defeat in the derby. Dortley is one of Amakhosi’s most reliable and solid center-backs when he’s fully fit.
It’s highly possible that Dortley could partner Thabo Moloisane at centre-back. Moloisane has been doing well defensively and had a good game against Pirates.
Mfundo Vilakazi also played a vital role in the first half of the Soweto Derby. The young talent took on players, created chances, and took shots at goal. His confidence is on another level this season.
Wandile Duba, despite missing golden chances in the derby, will lead the line in the quarter-final against Siwelele. He is one of Chiefs’ clinical finishers and will be looking to redeem himself on Sunday.
The only doubt in Amakhosi’s lineup is Reese Frosler. An injury forced him to leave the pitch, but hopefully Chiefs’ medical team made sure he’s ready for the next game.
Kaizer Chiefs possible lineup vs Siwelele (4-2-3-1): Petersen; Frosler, Dortley, Moloisane, Mako; Maboe, Mthethwa; Vilakazi, Shabalala, Mmodi; Duba.

Siwelele Possible Lineup vs Kaizer Chiefs
Siwelele is also looking to redeem themselves after losing their last match against Chiefs in the Betway Premiership. Caretaker coach Godfrey Mosoetsa is expected to play a defensive formation in the upcoming game.
However, players like Vincent Pule and Raymond Makhuvele can hurt Chiefs on the counterattack. Pule, a former Orlando Pirates player, is a seasoned campaigner who has played many games against Amakhosi.
Makhuvele’s confidence is high after scoring on debut for Siwelele in a 3-2 Betway Premiership defeat to Marumo Gallants on 30 October. He’ll be looking to impress his new bosses by adding more goals to his name.
Siwelele possible lineup vs Kaizer Chiefs (4-4-2): February; Mfolozi, Sesane, Ndebele, Baliti; Mokhachane, Makhuvele, Kobedi, Pule; Mzibuko, Jeza.

Prediction: Kaizer Chiefs vs Siwelele in the Carling Knockout Cup
Chiefs players are mentally and tactically superior to Siwelele’s cohort of players. Looking at the past games, Chiefs has won more games and lost fewer than Siwelele this season.
Siwelele has been struggling since the season kicked off in August. Looking at the Betway Premiership, Mosoetsa’s side has managed only one win in nine matches. They’ve only scored nine goals and conceded a whopping 16.
On the other hand, Chiefs have scored 14 goals and conceded 10. With a leaky defence and a low-scoring record, Siwelele doesn’t stand a chance against Chiefs.
The Kaizer Chiefs vs Siwelele prediction is based on both sides’ current form, scoring and defensive records, teamwork, and individual brilliance. SportPurse predicts Kaizer Chiefs will knock Siwelele out of the competition.
