Granit Xhaka cancelled Iliman Ndiaye’s stunning goal when he equalised for Sunderland in Round 10 of the Premier League on Monday, 3 October 2025.

Xhaka levelled the score to 1-1 in the 46th minute, helping the Black Cats secure a hard-fought point against Everton at the Stadium of Light.

Ndiaye opened the scoring with a stunner in the 15th minute. He dribbled past a couple of opponents before unleashing a left-footed beauty from the edge of the box, which left Robin Roefs rooted.

Jack Grealish came close to scoring in the 22nd minute, but his shot from the edge of the box crashed against the left post.

Thierno Barry wasted a big chance in the 29th minute after connecting with Grealish’s perfect cross. He skyrocketed his first-time shot from close range.

Sunderland thought they had won a penalty in the 73rd minute, but the referee turned down their appeals after a VAR review found that there was no handball in the box.

Régis Le Bris’ side extended their points to 18 after the draw. They occupy the fourth spot in the Premier League standings after 10 games. Sunderland has won five, drawn three, and lost two matches.
