Vini opened the scoring in the 47th minute, assisted by Kylian Mbappe. The Brazilian then converted from the spot, doubling Los Blancos’ lead in the 69th minute.

Georges Mikautadze pulled one back for the Yellow Submarine in the 73rd minute, assisted by Pape Gueye. The referee reduced Villarreal to ten men in the 77th minute after Santiago Mourino received his second yellow card.

Mbappe then extended Real Madrid’s lead to 3-1 in the 83rd minute with the assistance of Brahim Diaz.

Villarreal 1-2 Real Madrid

Real Madrid edged Villarreal 2-1 in a closely contested La Liga match at Estadio de la Ceramica on 15 March 2025. Kylian Mbappe netted twice in the comeback win.

The Sorloth show continued in the second half. He made it 4-2 in the 48th minute, heading in Gerard Moreno’s cross. Sorloth then scored his third goal of the match in the 52nd minute, making it 4-3.

Sorloth sent the Villarreal faithful into a frenzy when he equalised in the 56th minute after linking up with Moreno for his fourth goal of the match.

Real Madrid 4-1 Villarreal

Real Madrid thrashed Villarreal 4-1 in another La Liga thriller at the Bernabeu on 17 December 2023. Luka Modric scored and assisted in the showdown.

Jude Bellingham opened the scoring in the 25th minute, assisted by Modric. Rodrygo then made it 2-0 in the 37th minute with the assistance of Lucas.

Jose Morales reduced the visitors’ deficit in the 54th minute, assisted by Ramon Terrats. However, Brahim Diaz extended Los Blacos’ lead to 3-1 in the 64th minute, assisted by Fran Garcia.

Four minutes later, Modric scored the hosts’ fourth goal. Four goals and three points in the bag for Real Madrid!
