Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring when Napoli thrashed Inter 3-1 in a top of the Serie A table clash at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, on Saturday, 25 October 2025.
The reigning champions dominated their rivals in the eighth round of the elite Italian league. De Bruyne injured himself while taking the penalty in the 33rd minute.
He limped off the field after scoring, and Mathias Olivera replaced him in the 37th minute. The hosts went into the halftime break leading 1-0.
Scott McTominay doubled the score in the 54th minute, giving Napoli a 2-0 lead. In the 59th minute, Hakan Calhanoglu pulled one back for Inter from the penalty spot.
Frank Anguissa dribbled past a couple of opponents before scoring Napoli’s third goal in the thriller. Anguissa’s 66th-minute strike from outside the box took the game beyond Inter’s reach.
