Fiorentina scored the first goal of the clash, but Milan turned the tables around, coming from behind to win the thriller. Fiorentina’s Robin Gosens struck from a rebound in the 55th minute, giving his side a 1-0 lead.
Leão scored the equaliser with a long-range strike, giving the keeper no chance in the 63rd minute. Just when everyone thought the two Italian sides were going to share the spoils, the Rossoneri were given a penalty after a VAR review.
Leão stepped up and converted from the spot. He beat David de Gea with a fine penalty. The score changed to 2-1 in the 86th minute. The home side secured maximum points from the match.
