Alejo Sarco was too lethal in the group stages of the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup. The striker found the back of the net in the 3rd minute against Australia at Estadio Elias Figueroa Brander on 2 October 2025.
Again, his goal gave Argentina an early lead and confidence to go on and score more goals. The young Argentinians ultimately thrashed Australia 4-1, securing three points in style.

Alejo Sarco Scores Brace Against Cuba
Alejo Sarco announced his arrival at the tournament with a brace in Argentina’s opening match at Estadio Elias Figueroa Brander on 29 September 2025.
The star scored another early goal in the clash against Cuba. Sarco netted in the 4th minute of the game, giving Argentina a 1-0 lead. He then doubled the score in the 41st minute.
Argentina won their U20 World Cup opener 3-1 because of Sarco’s two goals, despite being a player down. From that impressive victory, Argentina never looked back until they reached the final against Morocco.
