Bayern welcomes Werder to the Allianz Arena on matchday five of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season on 26 September 2025. The showdown kicks off at 20:30 (SAST).
Bayern has had a dream start to their new campaign, winning four successive matches and scoring a total of 18 goals. Vincent Kompany’s side is one of only two clubs that remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season.
The reigning champions top the league with 12 points, while their opponents occupy the 14th spot with only four points. In their past four fixtures, Werder won once, drew once, and lost two matches.
While a win for Bayern will extend the points gap between them and second-placed Borussia Dortmund, a defeat for Werder will push them further down the table. According to most pundits, Bayern is expected to win this fixture comfortably and with a couple of goals.
Coming into this match, Werder’s defence is a bit shaky, having already conceded ten goals in four league matches.
