Harry Kane scored two goals in the DFB-Pokal crunch match against SV Wehen Wiesbaden on Wednesday, 27 August. The Englishman missed a penalty before making up for his mistake in the dying minutes of the game.
At some stage, the Bundesliga champions were cruising 2-0 before the 3. Liga team’s Fatih Kaya netted two goals. With the score at 2-2, Kane stepped forward to take a penalty in the 76th minute but missed.
In the 78th minute, Vincent Kompany subbed on Josip Stanišić, who went on to assist Kane in the 90+4 minute. Bayern, who were expected to win by a large margin, only managed to win the game 3-2.

Bayern Munich is leading SV Wehen Wiesbaden 1-0 in the first half of the DFB-Pokal match played at the Brita Arena.

Bayern Munich Win 6–0 Against RB Leipzig
Coming to this game, Bayern Munich are on a high after demolishing RB Leipzig 6-0 in their 2025/26 season opener on Friday, 22 August. During the encounter, Kane scored his first treble of the new campaign. Michael Olise netted a brace and Luis Diaz scored his first Bundesliga goal after joining the club from Liverpool.
Before the new season kicked off, Bayern won the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup on 16 August. The German giants lifted the trophy after beating Stuttgart 2-1. Kane and Diaz also scored in that match.

SV Wehen Wiesbaden’s Last Two Matches
Wehen lost 4-3 in their last match against RW Essen in round three of 3. Liga on 22 August. Before that, Wehen drew 2-2 against Verl on 9 August. Wehen, who were the away side, scored two quick goals in the first half, but they bottled the lead.
The match ended in a draw after Verl made it 2-1 before halftime and completed their comeback in the second half.
