In one of the highest-scoring matches on Sunday, 26 April 2026, Dynamo Kyiv edged Kryvbas 6-5 in a thrilling Ukrainian Premier League comeback victory at Girnyk.
Gleiker Mendoza was on cloud nine after scoring an unbelievable four goals in the first half. The Venezuelan forward found the back of the net in the 13th, 29th, 34th, and 45+2 minutes.
Maksym Zaderaka provided two assists, while Yaroslav Shevchenko Volodymyrovych and Andrusw Araujo each assisted Mendoza once. Matvii Ponomarenko, assisted by Mykola Shaparenko, scored Dynamo Kyiv’s first goal in the 15th minute.
Kryvbas went into the halftime break leading 4-1, but bottled the three-goal lead as Dynamo Kyiv turned the tide in the second half.
Was Dynamo Kyiv the Highest-Scoring Team in the Second Half?
After introducing fresh legs, the visitors created more chances and also prevented Kryvbas from scoring more goals. Dynamo Kyiv was the highest-scoring team in the second half, ultimately winning the match 6-5.
Taras Mykhavko made it 4-2 in the 48th minute, assisted by Oleksandr Pikhalyonok. Nazar Voloshyn then scored Kyiv’s third goal in the 64th minute, assisted by substitute Vitaliy Buyalskyy. Buyalskyy then levelled the score to 4-4 in the 69th minute, assisted by Voloshyn.
While the visitors continued piling on the pressure, they left their defence exposed, and the hosts took full advantage. Zaderaka restored the hosts’ lead, changing the score to 5-4 in the 73rd minute, assisted by Yvan Dibango.
Off the bench, Andriy Yarmolenko levelled the score to 5-5 in the 76th minute, assisted by Pikhalyonok. Yarmolenko then sent Dynamo Kyiv fans into a frenzy when he scored the winning goal in the 87th minute, assisted by Shaparenko. Three points for Dynamo Kyiv!

Dynamo Kyiv Scores 5 Goals Against Oleksandriya
Meanwhile, the 6-5 victory was not the first time Dynamo Kyiv was involved in a high-scoring match this season in the Ukrainian Premier League. Ihor Kostyuk’s side trounced Oleksandriya 5-0 at KSK Nika on 19 March 2026.
Andriy Yarmolenko opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Oleksandr Yatsyk then made it 2-0 in the 20th minute. After the halftime break, Nazar Voloshyn scored the third goal in the 68th minute, assisted by Bohdan Redushko.
Redushko also registered his name on the scoresheet in the 72nd minute, changing the score to 4-0. Oleksandr Pikhalyonok provided the assist. Matvii Ponomarenko scored Dynamo Kyiv’s fifth goal in the 83rd minute, assisted by Vitaliy Buyalskyy.
