Peter Odemwingie opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, sending the packed stadium into a frenzy. Two minutes later, Nabil Taider silenced the Nigerian supporters when he scored the visitors’ equalising goal.

The stadium erupted again when Michael Eneramo restored Nigeria’s lead in the 80th minute. However, Oussama Darragi spoiled the party in the 90th minute, levelling the score to 2-2.
