Young Cameroonian footballer Christian Kofane is scoring crucial goals and assisting for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen in the 2025/26 season.
The talented forward was just playing in Spain’s Segunda División last season, but now finds himself scoring vital goals in the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League.
Born in Douala, Cameroon, on 26 July 2006, Kofane has made an immediate impact for Leverkusen in the Bundesliga since joining from Albacete.
He has found the back of the net in the top German league, and his other goals came in the UEFA Champions League and the DFB-Pokal.

The star opened the scoring in the 65th minute at the BayArena when his side faced PSV. Kofane helped Leverkusen secure a crucial point in the league phase of the competition.
The match ended 1-1 as PSV equalised in the 72nd minute. He has only played two games in the Champions League.

Christian Kofane was one of the shining stars when Bayer Leverkusen thrashed Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League at the Etihad Stadium on 25 November 2025.

Off the bench, Kofane made it 2-1 in the 83rd minute, assisted by Ibrahim Maza. Kofane replaced Patrik Schick in the 63rd minute. His ability to read the game from the bench and follow his coach’s instructions led to his goal.

Christian Kofane played a vital role when Bayer Leverkusen edged Mainz 4-3 in the Bundesliga at Mewa Arena on 18 October 2025.
The star doubled Leverkusen’s lead in the 24th minute, assisted by Ernest Poku. Kofane’s side secured maximum points in the away match, thanks to one of his goals.

Did Christian Kofane Score in the First Round of DFB-Pokal?
Christian Pokane registered his first goal in DFB-Pokal on 15 August 2025 when Leverkusen thrashed SG Sonnenhof GroBaspach 4-0 in the first round of the tournament.
Kofane scored the third goal of the match in the 84th minute at Mechatronik Arena. It was his first goal in the colours of his new employers, and that goal definitely boosted his confidence.

Before joining Bayer Leverkusen, Christian Kofane spent the 2024/25 season in the books of Albacete. He scored eight goals and one assist in 20 matches in the Segunda División.
Kofane follows in the footsteps of other lethal goal poachers from Cameroon, including Barcelona legend Samuel Eto’o and Roger Milla, who made headlines when he scored four goals in five matches in the 1990 World Cup.
