In their last league game on 13 September 2025, Bournemouth edged Brighton 2-1. Antoine Semenyo was a shining star of the matchday four clash.

Newcastle United lost 2-1 to Barcelona in their UEFA Champions League opener on Thursday, 18 September 2025. Eddie Howe’s side conceded two goals in the second half after a stalemate in the first 45 minutes of the match.

Marcus Rashford put on a man-of-the-match performance when he visited his country with the Spanish giants. The English footballer scored his brace in the 58th and 67th minutes.

It was a little too late to stage a comeback when Anthony Gordon scored Newcastle’s consolation goal in the 90th minute.

In their last 2024/25 Premier League meeting on 18 January 2025, Bournemouth demolished Newcastle 4-1 in the Round 22 thriller. The visiting Cherries had clear intentions from the get-go.

Justin Kluivert scored Bournemouth’s lead in the sixth minute. Newcastle equalised through Bruno Guimaraes’ goal in the 25th minute. Just before the halftime break, Kluivert scored his second goal, making the score 2-1.

After the break, the Cherries were all over the Magpies. Despite having a goal disallowed in the 61st minute, Bournemouth continued attacking until they were rewarded with two late goals.

Kluivert scored his and Newcastle’s third goal of the match in the 90+2 minute. Milos Kerkez made it 4-1 in the 90+6 minute.

On 25 August 2024, Bournemouth and Newcastle played a 1-1 draw on matchday two of the 2024/25 season. Going into the halftime break, Bournemouth had a one-goal advantage after Marcus Tavernier scored in the 37th minute.

After a couple of good substitutions in the second half, Newcastle finally levelled the score in the 76th minute. Anthony Gordon equalised for the Magpies.
