UPDATE:
Arsenal put on a show against newly-promoted Leeds United on matchday two of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
The Gunners scored five goals in front of their home supporters at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 23 August. Newly signed forward Viktor Gyokeres broke his duck when his side demolished Leeds. He scored both his goals in the second half, with one of them being a penalty.
Jurrien Timber also scored a brace. He scored in both halves of the match. Bukayo Saka also registered his first goal of the season. The Englishmen netted his goal in the first half.
FIRST HALF ACTION
Arsenal were leading 2-0 at halftime. The hosts banged in two goals in the first 45 minutes of their match against Leeds United. Jurrien Timber scored the first goal for the home side. Bukayo Saka made it 2-0 just before halftime on Round 2 of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
The two sides scored a goal each in their first league games on the opening weekend of the league.

In their first match, Arsenal beat a motivated Manchester United by 1-0 at Old Trafford. The hosts put up a good fight, but Arsenal were able to defend until the end of the game. Riccardo Calafiori scored Arsenal’s only goal in the first 15 minutes of the first half.
Leeds United began their campaign with an impressive win at home. The league’s newcomers also netted once in the exciting match. German footballer Lukas Nmecha scored an impressive penalty against Everton in the dying minutes of the game. Daniel Farke’s side played good football in front of their home supporters and deserved all three points.
Both Arsenal and Leeds are looking forward to creating more scoring opportunities later today. The Gunners’ new signing, Viktor Gyokeres, had a nightmare of a Premier League debut as he failed to take even a single shot in the match.
